The Influence of
Veon Murdock-Stewart did not obtain the passing grades needed to move on from the elementary public school she was attending to high school.
On the advice of the school principal, who was not affiliated with the SDA church, her mother enrolled her in the local Seventh-day Adventist high school.
Here Veon began to excel, learned about the Sabbath, and then gave her life to Christ. Young Veon then led her family to observe the Sabbath and then over the years to Christ. Presently, Doctor Veon is a professor of mathematics at a Seventh-day Adventist University.
The Impact of
Gabby, a 9 year old, in one of our Adventist schools, was asked "what have you learned at your school?".
Gabby answered "I met Jesus at my school. I didn't know him before. My teacher introduced me to Him and now He is my best Friend."
The Guidance of
Hilbert "Bert" Giscombe attended the local Seventh-day Adventist Academy and College. Bert excelled and when he took the accountancy exam he placed first for his country.
Bert went on to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and then to obtain a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA).
Currently, Doctor Hilbert is a professor of Accounting at an accredited University in the marketplace. Bert credits his success to the spiritual motivation of the high caliber teachers for him to excel.
A Middle Class Family Become Millionaire Givers
Steve owned a small business and had an annual salary of $50,000. He went to a conference where Dr. Bill Bright challenged people to give a million dollars to the LORD’s work.
Steve told Dr. Bright it would be impossible for his family to give a million dollars. Dr. Bright asked, “How much money did you make last year, and how much did you give?” Steve said, “My salary is $50,000 and we gave $15,000.” Dr. Bright said, “Next year, trust God to help you give $50,000.” But Steve said, “That’s my entire salary!” Dr. Bright said, “Trust God and see how He provides.”
With God’s help, Steve’s business did well and his family joyfully gave $50,000. The following year, God helped them give $100,000. Each year, his family lived on his $50,000 salary and gave all their extra income to the LORD’s work. Within several years, they gave over a million dollars!
Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete with it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38'
